Paul says that one of the marks of a spiritually mature church is the ability to speak the truth in love. What does this mean? What does it look like in the context of ordinary life together?

In this message we ask the question, "What happens when we make something other than knowing God our primary goal?

Predestination has always been a controversial subject. But because Paul talked about it, we should too. In this message we'll seek to take an objective look at both sides of the issue, and conclude what this means for us as followers of Jesus.

This week we dive into Ephesians. One of the major themes of Ephesians is that God desires to be known. Not just known about, but intimately known. In this first message we look at some of the amazing blessings that God has poured out on His people. These blessings should cause us to hunger and thirst after the Father, and should overflow into worshiping Him.

We kick off our series on Ephesians by looking at how Paul came to start the church in Ephesus. Paul went to Ephesus at the start of his third missionary journey, and ended up staying there longer than he had stayed just about anywhere. During his time there God did what only God could do, and Acts 19:10 says that "all the residents of Asia heard the world of the Lord." Five years later, under house arrest in Rome, Paul writes a beautiful letter to them. Over the next few months we're going to be digging into this letter.

As we prepare for our series on Ephesians, here are some practical principles for studying the Bible.

In our final message on our journey through Luke's Gospel, we go back to the mission of God and look at how Jesus sent His earliest followers and how He sends us today.

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, what they got was far more than a prayer. Jesus was teaching them how to practically live out all that he had been teaching them about God's reign: the Kingdom of God.

These are the people who see Satan's work behind anything bad that happens in their lives. The other extreme is to not give him enough credit. These are the ones who may believe in their heads that Satan exists, but they don't really think it's that big of a deal. In this teaching we'll dive into a lot of Scripture as we seek to find balance.

We all have bad days from time to time. What does the Bible say about our response to not only trials and suffering, but also to spiritual attack?

In part 2 of our series on suffering, Joe Currier leads us to look at the connection between Christ's baptism and his time in the wilderness.

We see signs of God's Kingdom everywhere we look, yet we also know that things are not as they were meant to be, and as they one day will be. There is a tendency among Christians to see God's reign (The Kingdom of God) as either a present reality or a future reality. Our challenge, however, is to see that it is both.

We've said that God's Kingdom runs counter-cultural to our world today, and this is none too true when it comes to work and rest. In this message we look at the fact that we were created to work with God, which is amazing in of itself. Yet this working with God can only take place after we've found our rest in God.

Here we have the story of Jesus' first recorded sermon. It's his manifesto, his public declaration of intentions. He chooses for his Scripture passage Isaiah 61, which is a favorite for the congregation gathered that morning. Yet Jesus reinterprets the passage in a way that utterly astounds them.
